Biographical Sketch
Dr. Thompson’s teaching experience includes such schools as Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago State University, and the University of Memphis. Her work experience includes independent consulting for People Research at Microsoft as well as for research and development at the American Academy of Pediatrics, internal consulting in the organization effectiveness department at United Airlines, and external consulting for Organizational Effectiveness Consultants. This applied work included an emphasis on selection systems, performance appraisal, 360-degree feedback, survey design, validation, and adverse impact. Her research interests include legal issues, affirmative action, attitudes, stereotypes, program evaluation, selection in education, and gender bias.
