The Center for Multicultural and Diversity Studies offers multicultural training sessions that will provide participants with a basic understanding of cultural awareness and offer a general understanding of multiculturalism. As the semester continues, the center will build on this general foundation by providing more advanced sessions that will explore different aspects of multiculturalism and multicultural competencies. These training sessions are open to all members of The Chicago School community.
Session 1, Wednesday, 2/6: Foundations in cultural awareness and review of APA Multicultural guidelines.
Session 2, Wednesday, 2/21: Teaching and learning multicultural competencies
Session 3, Wednesday, 3/21: Practicing Multicultural Competencies in clinical settings
Session 4, Wednesday 4/24: Ethical Guidelines and Multicultural Competencies (realities to aspirations?)
