Dr. Mark Rogers spoke with Dean Richards on WGN Radio 720's Steve Cochran Show regarding child custody and its psychological impact of the children involved in particular to the case of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Dr. Breeda McGrath, School Psychology Department faculty, appeared on the World Talk Radio program KidsDadsMoms hosted by Leslie Minkus. The topic was “Parents, Psychologists, and Attorneys that Advocate for Kids.”

Dr. Mark Goldstein, adjunct professor of clinical psychology, was quoted in a Wall Street Journal story about children coping with allergy anxieties.

Dr. Mark Kassel, assistant professor of clinical counseling, appeared on “Behavioral Health Update” hosted by Dr. Joseph Troiani. He discussed the changing field of forensic psychology, the roles that future practitioners will have in forensics, the impact of the chronically mentally ill flooding the corrections system, and other topics.

Dr. Deane Rabe, AVP of engagement and student affairs, appeared on WMAQ (NBC 5). The topic was the “psychology of Cubs fans.”

Chicago School Trustee Paul Dillon, president and CEO of Dillon Consulting Services, LLC, wrote an article for the website ConsultingCrossing.com. The topic was networking in nonprofits.

Dr. Todd Dubose, assistant professor of clinical psychology, was quoted in an Associated Press story titled "Father Turns Grief Over Son's Death in Iraq to Advocacy for War."

June 2007
Chicago School student Katie Schoenhofer, was quoted in an APA Monitor on Psychology story along with President Michael Horowitz and Alumnus Dr. Steve Nakisher. The story focused on The Chicago School's involvement in Peer Development for Emotional Intelligence (PDEI) and appears in the June 2007 APA Monitor edition.

First Year Forensic Psychology Student Anne Huffman was recently honored as a Windy City Times' a member of the 2007 "30 Under Thirty."

Dr. Gary Walls, Clinical Psy.D. program faculty member, was quoted in a Chicago Sun Times story about home owners dealing with disappointment with the appraisal process.

Chicago School graduate Rachel Duzant, Psy.D. '06, was quoted in an APA Monitor on Psychology story about strategies to pay down student loans.

April 2007
Dr. Ariadna Cymet Lanski, adjunct faculty, was interviewed by Fit Pregnancy magazine on the topics of mental health and couples issues during pregnancy.

A freelance reporter interviewed Dr. Andrew Carson, adjunct faculty, for a story about Career Depression Syndrome.

Dr. Ted Rubenstein, affiliate faculty, was interviewed by a freelance reporter on how to nurture a child's sense of humor.

April 22
School Psychology Department Chair Dr. Ellis Copeland was mentioned in an article published by The News Leaderof Staunton, Virginia. The topic of the story was students coping with stress in the wake of the Virginia Tech tragedy. Dr. Copeland also spoke with ClearChannel radio in response to the campus shooting.

Business Psy.D. and I/O Program Faculty member Dr. Nancy Davis spoke with members of the Bosnian press on issues of diversity. Organized by the U.S. Department of State, the interview covered such topics as diversity in the workplace, in Chicago, and in America.

Dr. Michael Horowitz, president, was quoted in a Chicago Tribune (3/19) cover story about the psychology of decision making. A syndicated version of the story was picked up in a number of other papers including the Charleston Gazette and Edmonton Journal.

Dr. Michael Barr and Matt Nehmer appeared on the XM Satellite Radio program “Life’s Work with Lisa Belkin” discussing employees who never miss work due to illness. A portion of the interview was used in Belkin’s New York Times workplace column (1/15).

2005

December 19
Dr. Michael Smith, Clinical Psy.D. associate program director, was quoted in a Sacramento Bee story about children who have their birthday on Christmas. The story also ran in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

November 5
Dr. Mark Goldstein, adjunct faculty, was quoted in Parenting magazine about children who call their parents by their first name.

Dr. Ellis Copeland, School Psychology program director, was interviewed by CBS 2 during the World Series about the Cubs/White Sox rivalry.
